About

I started crocheting when I was in High School. After crocheting 4-5 kippahs for my then boyfriend he gave me the opportunity to crochet kippahs for other people. He ask me to marry him! I then had 9 kippahs to make for the wedding, one in white with black lettering and the other 8 in black with names in purple (my color).

It took the full 9 months of our engagement to work out the lettering, pick the perfect purple, and crochet them on my subway ride to and from school and work. But the result was perfect and I was so happy to see all of the men and boys walking down the aisle wearing something I worked so hard on.

Once the wedding was over I went back to making a kippah a year for him. He then became a prosecutor and asked me to make him a kippah that said “קטגור” (prosecutor). After seeing this kippah I received many requests to sell kippot. Because of these requests I started a Facebook page in 2009. Six years later, I created this website to make ordering a custom hand crochet kippah easy.

From the time someone shows interest in ordering a Yarmulke I guide them throughout the process. I help them choose the right size, color, thread type and pattern for their needs. I have hundreds of patterns to choose from or I can convert an image such as a company, school or team logo to a pattern.

I love to crochet and enjoy every request that comes in. From putting a name on a solid color to creating an image from a picture or logo. I look forward to hearing from you and creating that special kippah for you!
